The Beauty of the Pear

One of the many things i love about Autumn is the pear...its shape, color, texture and sweetness...there is nothing better than a ripe pear except when it is added IN to my morning smoothie.  Dare I mention the abundance of phytonutrients in just one pear.

This morning was one of those perfect smoothie mornings!  I blended up a half a banana, one ripe pear, one apple, a handful of locinato kale, a handful of alfalfa sprouts, one date, ground flax, 1/4 C filtered water, 1/2C ice.  It was delicious and sustained me through mid-morning...cheers and happy Autumn!
