“Singing in the Rain” and “Underneath it All”…both paintings will be featured in the Long Beach Island Foundation’s Member/Student/Faculty exhibition from August 19th thru September 4th.

2023 CFEVA Members Exhibition, “The Calm Before the Storm” opens May 24th from 5-7pm and runs through July 28th, 2023.

Imagined Beyonds highlights the elegance of creative presence: Shelley demonstrates this through the meticulous portrayal of an immortalized bouquet of freshly cut flowers, while Eisenberg embodies this through her bursts of color that are created in moments of spontaneity and inspiration. Both artists test the boundaries of familiarity and objectivity, and the audience is asked to question the objects’ embodiment as they appear.

Each of us are searching for something more than what we have. We seek intimacy, order, wealth, health, and validation for ourselves and others. In Search of Something More highlights the process by which we search for our desires. When our imagined realities are stunted by economic, environmental, or interpersonal conflict, a need arises to search for alternatives. In the contradiction between imagined and current reality, a search thus inherently emerges. This exhibition shines a light on the importance of the act of searching and exposes the different avenues by which the search for more takes place.

Amidst darkness, my coping mechanism has been to think of each morning as a new beginning/a fresh start. Maybe today will be better. The dance of the paint, marks, gestures and colors enable me to convey hope and positivity.

Through Collective Awareness, over 40 DVAA Members come together to prove that Landscape art is not limited to paintings of lush green hills and deep blue oceans. Reflecting the breadth of work represented at DVAA, Collective Awareness combines painting, photography, sculpture and craft. Individual perspectives harmoniously coming together to harness the natural energy of the world as this particular group of people experience it.

We could all use a breath of fresh air!! Please join me and my fellow ARTsisters for our current show, “A Breath of Fresh Air”, showing from May 2 - 30th at the Old City Jewish Arts Center. Our Artists’s Reception is being held on Sunday, May 22nd from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
